Eisai Snaps Up MGI Pharma

Japan’s Eisai announced this morning it would snap up Minnesota’s MGI Pharma.
It’s a pretty shrewd move for the Japanese firm. Eisai, better known for Aricept and Aciphex is making a major push into oncology (although with every other pharma company).

Eisai will pay about $4 billion for MGI Pharma, or $41 per share.
